I work at a Mahindra dealership. Do I think they are the best built tractor? Nope. I divulge this right away not to think I'm blowing smoke or all into the brand I work for.
There is one common mistake 75% of the people looking for a tractor make: they look for price rather than what they plan to do with the tractor. They'll look at a max 26 which can come with a backhoe and think it's more important to save a few thousand dollars. I then ask them what they plan to do with the tractor and they'll say "you know, drag a few logs in. Plow my 300' driveway, lift a pallet of feed. Clean out the livestock pen, mow a 2 acre field, etc. I then say to them" let's walk a few feet over" and show them the 1626 and say: "this is what you really need." I will also reverse this if I feel their need doesn't match the oversize they're looking at.
Your use, or anybodies" use, as you are discovering, is of way more value. "Fit" is next meaning, how do you get along with what you're sitting on as far as ergonomics are concerned. Dealership quality and proximity are next. Price and brand become inconsequential if one is not meeting these first three.
And as a follow up, do not ever get swayed by the vaunted "0%". It's a crock as your "interest" you think you aren't paying is already built into the tractor price.
I hope you experience the same trouble free years as I have with my 3016 which is now the 1626. The Mitsus have been the least trouble prone of the group.
