Our back deck needs to be stripped of old deck over stain and re stained. Lots of the old stain is peeling up so I want to strip it all and wash/ prep it. Olympic has a well rated stripper as does Thompson but I can't find it any sore near us. the two box stores HD and Loews carry their brand of stripper that get bad reviews. It can't be shipped so no mail order. Anyone know ofany other deck strippers? I have seen Benjamin Moore around here but have no idea if it's good.

My fence stain was beyond its exploration date with flaking. To my surprise, my power washer removed most of it. Not sure how the power washer would perform on a deck though.
I don't have a power washer, just a "thunder gun" that can shoot 120 psi air along with water. I have a 5" grinder but I can see the sanding disks leaving marks. I thought of renting an orbital floor sander but I think it might take forever like that. When I do get this clean and prepped I will use a stain and not the deck renew garbage

Call a pressure washer guy to do the deck.
They have a rotary cleaner that works great.
Before we put our house up for sale we had a guy come out. He did a cedar deck that looked almost new when he left.
