Has anyone here fabricated a deck stand for their CC mower deck? I have a 3235 with a 54" deck. This thing is a beast to move around and stand up to clean/change blades. I would also like to stand it on edge for storage during the winter (I have a blade that I push snow with). Any suggestions, ideas, products out there?

Thanks

Mark

Yeah, those are a beast. I have a hard enough time slinging around the 44" on my 2544! The 44" is just under 100lbs IIRC. Maybe you could grab a 2 wheeled hand truck from harbor freight (or the likes) to strap the deck to. Those trucks are cheap enough that you could dedicate one to your mower deck.

I'd probably bolt a wooden platform to the blade of the hand truck. The metal one will not only be small, but slippery and may scratch the paint easily.

Just create a wood platform, nail in some stops where you'd need them to prevent movement, then bolt that whole thing to the blade on the hand truck.

TL - I was thinking the same thing - that I may need to fabricate some sort of add-on to the blade to make things more stable. Maybe even some sort of "out-rigger" to make it a bit more stable when I am cleaning/changing blades...but that should be fairly easy....
