I feel your pain, Ridgewalker. I watch dozens of deer parade through my backyard and can't shoot any of them. I have, however, identified what I believe to be a single tree that's at least 100 yards from any residence other than my own.

I might be able to legally discharge a firearm from a stand there but then there's the issue of retrieving the dead deer from my neighbors' property.

Knowing some of my neighbors, that could be a fight.

I have to be satisfied driving an hour away to my uncle's property. It's inconvenient but worth it.

Guys like you is why I have a 50 Cal mounted on my 4400!!!

You gents that live in developments (I assume it's not the houses 10' apart type development)...any chance of bow hunting?

Black powder season started here last week (no rifles here for deer!!). As I drove into the cabin, I passed probably eight deer not 30 yards away in a field then two more RIGHT AT THE CABIN DOOR!!

Apparently deer are afraid of my glow-in-the-dark camo because I didn't see anything within shooting distance the next day when the season began.

Hopefully, I'll have better luck tomorrow from my new, spacious two-seater tree stand. I saw plenty of buck scrapes and rubs but no bucks last week.

Happy Hunting (and Tractoring)!

Definitely. I just have yet to get into bow hunting. Heck - even a crossbow would be legal here. It's really the matter of retrieving the kill.

It's cool, Greg...

I understand you installed bulletproof glass in your Kioti's cab windows...

Had to with the KiotiKiller running loose

You bet...see, that 12v outlet I installed is perfect for plugging in a laptop...and with so many WiFi connections...Heck, I can sneak right up on you with the Deere (green, blending in with the vegetation) and keep posting on TBN!

Of course, at 15 MPH, I'd say you got about 2 months grace time while I'm drivin'
