If I am posting this in the wrong forum I apologize and the Mods can move it to the appropriate place.

I did an in-frame rebuild on my deere 2030 diesel because of a pin hole that developed in the #1 cylinder. I was also using oil due to shot valves.

I filmed the process from start to finish and just uploaded it to youtube. I thought you guys might want to check it out. If anyone does a rebuild on this engine you can post any questions here or PM me and I will be happy to help any way that I can.

Good Job! Thank you for taking the time to make the videos and sharing them with use.

Would sharing the total on how much everything cost and how hours you invested in doing the work?

Good video's! It would be cool if you could take some footage of this tractor in action this summer

Thank you to everyone for the nice comments.

The cost for parts, machine shop, and the rebuild kit ran me somewhere around $1,700 or maybe $1,800. The labor was, of course, free.

The tractor has gobs of power now that I never knew it could possess. I will certainly try to get a video of it doing some work once the weather fairs up. I will post it to my youtube channel so be sure to subscribe to my channel. Thanks again.

Thanks for the videos. I have been lurking here for quite a while, but never posted. Coincidentally, I bought a Deere 2030 over a year ago, with the primary role of operating a rotary cutter. This is my first tractor. I was bit skeptical about buying an older tractor, but it ran and I did not need a new machine to use only a few times a year. I made sure to check the oil quite often after initially using it, and I soon noticed that the oil level had risen. I cracked the oil drain and found coolant. Right now, I am assuming it is a liner issue, but I do not know for sure, and I hope it is not something like a cracked block. I have never rebuilt anything, although I have tools and perhaps a little bit better than average mechanical knowledge. You seem to know what you are doing from the videos. How hard would you say the rebuild is for someone that has never done it? Also, could anyone tell me the best way to diagnose/approach the issue?
