DEERE 2032R FENDER EXTENSION OPTION

Hi all,
I recently purchased a 2015 Deere 2032R with turf tires. As compared to my old 2210 the rear tires are huge. There is a lot of tire sticking past the fenders. I got a pretty good mud bath doing some work in a wet area (got it stuck in mud). So, I figured the fender extensions they offer as an option would offer some tire spray protection. I ordered a set at my local dealer. They were pretty expensive at a little over $200 dollars. They came in last Friday. When I opened the box, I felt totally ripped off. Deere generally makes pretty good stuff and quite honestly I expected more. I got serious buys remorse. They are just a strip of cheap plastic. They offer virtually no protection whatsoever. They are a 4 inch wide piece of plastic and about 8 pop rivets. They only offer about 1.5 in of extra tire coverage. Totally not what I expected for $200. I did not install them, I took them back. Luckily my dealer agreed with some negotiating to take them back and waive the 25% re stocking fee. Beware of this option, Its not what you would expect from Deere for $200. I agree. Worse, they simply bolt on top of the fender. Unfortunately in most of the sales literature JD always shows a photo of the nice "under the fender" extensions like those used on the 3-series tractors. Those look like they were actually designed for the tractor. The 2-series extensions on the other hand look more like a one-size-fits-all product that you'd get from J.C. Whitney.

They don't even bolt on, They pop rivet on under the fender.
