Deere 210LE Hitch Tilt Cylinder Disassembly

Having trouble removing gland cap on the hitch tilt cylinder. It's a 2 inch rod and looks like a 2.5 inch bore. Only number on it are GMI 3633. There's not any holes for a spanner wrench and although I can get the cap to move it does not seem to back out. All help is welcome. Thanks gents!
