Anyone added remote hydraulics to a deere 425?
Want to fab a backhoe and use on board hydraulics if possible?
Wondering if adding a tee between rear axle-pump and power stearing line would be the supply side?
Add a 4 way connection in place of the 3 way before it enters the radiator would work for the return?
Can the slective contol valve be used? It has 2 ports blocked off.If so would it just be a supply and return?Or would it's output be controled by the levers for the the front and rear cylinders.

Surfing the web I found that useing the ports on the selective control valve would work only through the factory levers wich is fine if someone just needs one additional cylinder to control.
Ron at www.Aux-Hyd.com sells a nice looking kit for this for 4x5s.

Still doing research on using on board hydros.

There is a output shaft on the front of the motor ,looks like a good place to add a aux pump ,for a alternate source.Has anyone used this and have any pictures ideas on mounts ect?

I don't think the 425 has enough weight to sustain any effective backhoe work.

I did add "rear remotes" to my 425. But it simply uses the existing patch panel where I added hoses and quick connects onto a panel at the rear of the tractor. I use them to operate a dump trailer. If I have the snowblade on, I have to lose L/R control as I tap into those ports with my remote hoses. This is OK for me because I won't ever use both at the same time.

But, a backhoe on a 425? Really?

If you really need a backhoe, it's time to trade up or buy a second machine.

Their are few companys that make a backhoe and loader Kwick Way and others. Also some DIY kits and plans out their.
Tractor seems tough enough for me.Planning to have out riggers and subframe.
I made a "Johnny style " bucket for the snow plow attachment.Moved a bit of dirt with it.Dug a basement out for a garage 32' x 50'.
I would like to have a larger machine though:drool:
