I have a 540 loader on my '95 5200. While it will lift almost anything (obviously has good pressure), the loader hydraulics seem very slow-acting (like flow is not high enough).

I don't notice the same issues on the steering and 3pt hitch, although I'm sure they use less volume than the loader.

Am I looking at a hyd pump replacement?
Does anyone know if a higher flow model is offered?

BTW, this tractor is turned up to about 60hp, so power to drive a larger pump shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks,
Phillip

How many hours? When was the hydraulic filter last changed? Is there a sump screen that can be cleaned? Have you removed the loader recently? There have been loader problems traced back to quick couplers that did not couple correctly.

I would have the dealer flow check the pump before considering it bad and replacing it.
