Price Check Deere 790 Final Price Considerations

I've pretty much settled on purchasing a Deere 790, and am looking forward to the purchase. However, I just wanted to get some feedback on price from the group. The best quote I have is as follows:

790 MFWD, R4 tires -- $12,000
Loader -- $2500
LX5 Rear mower -- $1,300
Box Blade, $575
Fluid in tires as ballast with loader -- $150

The total comes to $16,525. I would like to get him down to $16,200, cash in the $200 Deere discount on buying 2 attachments, and transact at $16,000.

How does this figure?

I paid $12500 for a 2003 790 with 24 hours on it from a Virginia dealer. This was with a 419 Loader, MFWD and R4 tires. I bought this machine just about a year ago.

Your machine has the 300 loader, I reckon. That loader is about 18% stronger then the 419 at maximum lift height.

Also, there is a steel surcharge now on many items...I wouldn't be surprised to see a surcharge on the invoice for your 790. You're also buying a Deere brand mower and box blade. I would insist on a ballast box as part of the deal, however.

In PA a 790 with 419 Loader would go for about $15200 or so new. That was the average price I got from three dealers in southern PA/northern MD. That was also about a year ago.

So, your price sounds pretty good for what you're buying.

2004 790 4x4 , 419 loader, lx5 cutter bought new in Oct. 04 14650. as far as charging for filling your tires and delivery all of that should be included. but if you don t ask you won t get anything. i ve got a good dealer less than five miles from the house. i shopped around to four dealers before i ever went on there lot though. good luck
