Deere 8a Backhoe Hydraulic Connection to JD 950

Hi All,

New member looking forward to particpating in TBN community. I just acquired an 8a backhoe attachment with subframe for my John Deere 950. Backhoe came off a 950 as well. Came with the two hydraulic lines (in / out) that connect to tractor, but I am struggling to determine where to connect these as the valve adjacent to my rock arm is different than previous owners. Mine is a gold box (modular controls mcd-1444-6t with an open port on right and top), is this ok to connect to? I've tried calling modular controls (now Eaton / Motion to no avail), looks like 3 way valve shown in manual is being used for FEL.

Any tips on where I could connect these hoses would be appreciated. Could i tee of an existing line? Will try to attach photos (any tips on how to upload from mobile phone would be appreciated).

After some homework and conversations with helpful MA and CT Deere service folks, attached is a sketchup of my proposed rerouting for connecting Deere Backhoe to early model JD 950 with FEL, SCV and Power Steering: SCV's BYD line to backhoe in and then backhoe line "out" into the tractor junction block (see 1st photo). This appears to be what is shown in Figure 6, just without the "T" tank line since only two lines connect to backhoe from tractor (2nd attachment, diagram).

Make sense / any suggestions? Thank you
