Hi,
I have hung an Enorossi mower off the back of my 955 with a single hose hydraulic lift piston for the sickle bar. The Enorossi comes with a single inline valve with a send and a return flow adjustment inline valves. I am unsure what/where I could plug this into the Deere. I certainly do not want to separate the rear backhoe hoses; but wondered if I could use one side of the bucket tilt on my loader. Has anyone operated a single hose hydraulic piston off a 955? Where on the 955 do you attach a single hose? Or do I have to have a dual hose hydraulic piston and dual hoses? (The Enorossi single hose just returns oil by gravity feed like a power lift trailer)

The photo show the inline 1/4 turn control valve while the Enorossi send and return flow diagram does not..

I have operated a one-way(single hose) cylinder on a Kubota M4900 & my friends Mahindra tractor by utilizing one breakaway coupler on a the loader bucket circuit. Both your tractor & mine have similar open center hyd systems so I see no reason it wouldn't operate the same on your JD. The valve in your 2nd photo appears to resemble a transport lock similar to the transport lock valve my Krone disc cutter has to lock cutter bar in 90° position.

In many applications a single acting cylinder will perform the best with a valve with a float detent,
this will allow the cylinder to let the head follow the ground contours.
When using it on a valve without float you have to hold your valve in the "lowering mode" till the implement
has lowered itself to the operating height at that spot it conditions change you have to lower it again,
while doing so you are dead heading your hydraulic system against the relief valve.

If it is like mine with at single action lift cylinder with gravity for the lowering force you should be able to run it off your curl/dump valve. I run mine off one side of a dual action rear remote w/o float. The hose from the mower goes into one port of the remote the other port is left unconnected. When I energize the hose port the mower lifts by retracting the cylinder as fluid pressurizes the ram end of the cylinder where the hose is connected. I release the valve when the mower is at the desired height and it stays there. To lower the mower move the valve in the other direction. This connects the hose port to the tank, The fluid drains as gravity lowers the mower. Again release the valve when the mower is down. While the mower is dropping the valve will direct pump pressure to the unconnected (blocked off) port and the hydraulic bypass valve will open as long as the valve is held open. This is not harmful because the raising and lowering are infrequent operations and the valve is only held in the lower position for a short time.

On my mower the bar rests on the ground while mowing and small height changes like lifting over a rock are done with the 3ph height lever. The lift cylinder is only activated to get high lifts over 18" or so. I get this much lift with the 3ph lever

In your case I would disconnect both the curl and dump hoses from the FEL valve then connect the mower hose to one and leave the other unconnected. Your curl/dump lever should then operate just like my rear remote lever.

hope this helps
