I too can't think of any that I would avoid, but personally I don't care for Tri-cycle Fronts or tractors that don't have a 3-Point Hitch.

I would stay away from the models with the shifter up on the dash as they are cable controlled as opposed to direct drive and have issues with getting tangled up.

I saw a magazine article once where someone made a steamer out of a JD 720. It was fired by opening the firebox from the front, so only short term firings. Looked like an accident waiting to happen to me & probably not certified! ~~ grnspot
