Deere CUT mods for 'No Feet' Operation

Here in the JD section somewhere are some posts about a 2305 that is used by someone without the use of his legs. I saved a picture of the tractor, and have attached it here, but can't remember the thread. Hope this helps...

Hey Mike, long time- no read!

these guys are great -
Mobility Products & Design

here's Deeres answers on that - It was the same when I was with Ford also-
When I was at Ford in the 80's their legal department was scaired to death of dealers helping with these mods as it placed liabilities with them. The people at Purdue helped us one time, but it was many years ago, I wish him well on the quest, no one should be held back!!

Thanks for all the responses.

I appreciate the input on the small chassis units. Since they don't fly by wire 0 I hadn't considered them, but one pedal does seem feasible.

Thanks Joe, I knew you'd know, and that is EXACTLY what I expected Deere's position to be, and I certainly can't blame them!

I was just thinking, there's an unexpected benefit to replacing the motion pedals with a hand control (lever). The use of the lever is intuitive. That is, press forwards-go forwards, pull back-go backwards. Also the ground motion (speed) is proportional to the amount of lever deflection and the pedal (lever) is self centering. I've found that on level ground my 2320 does not coast when I let up on the speed pedal. On a slope you will have to use the brakes of course.
This mod may even be more usable than the conventional pedal use.
