Deere extended warranty?
Still shopping around, but had a question about extended warrranty. Normally I don't think they are a good deal, but not so sure when it comes to tractors.
If I remember correctly the local JD dealer stated that Deere has a 3 year warranty on the power train and 2 on most other things. The local dealer extends the power train an additional 2 years on certain parts at no charge ( http://www.hammondtractor.com/assets/CUT5YR.pdf).
However in reading as many posts as I can it sure seems like repairs can really take a big bite if not covered under warranty. I think the Deere extended warranty was "bumper to bumper" so to speak.
So any thoughts are the extended warranties a good idea?
