When you go to their site.. you can "build it now" for most implements to find out how much they cost "retail" ... If a mower is $2500 retail, does their site include the shipping to the dealer?

I got a quote from my dealer and oddly, the prices were all more than i saw online previously :/

It lists say a 84" Box blade msrp is $1397... then like $150 freight and then $45 discount for a total of around $1500, or $100 more than deeres site. Is this normal? I mean the dealer is reputable but maybe im just in shock over some of the prices being more, not less than i saw prior to the quote?

From the Deere configurator (at the top of the page with the item you are pricing):
Base product list price reflects all "in base price" options. Select other options as desired for a different configuration and price. Taxes, freight, set-up and delivery are not included in these prices. See your dealer for details.

well your right. Ill just start checking ebay, i got a month to get something.

I dont need items like this brand new. I have a couple grading jobs, only like 1k for one and 3k for another including some supplies so i cant dump out $3900 after tax on a freking box blade...

I saw one , like a 72" landpride months back on ebay, brand new in some other state on a skid for $999, was a heavy duty model and weighted over 650lbs... If im gonna pay shipping to the dealer, THEN have to still pick it up and pay sales tax, i may as well search ebay.

Personally, I wouldn't pay any shipping or other "fees" the dealer might want to add on. I have a couple of JD dealers here and the one I bought my tractor from wanted full retail for my Frontier box blade (I bought it a few months after my tractor), and a competing JD dealer offered it to me about $100 under retail. Not a big surprise who I went with. Same with the iMatch, the competing dealer was about 10% cheaper. It pays to shop around...

I agree. I was surprised at how much difference there was between dealer's "over the phone" prices on implements. I told the highest priced dealer he was $250 higher on a set of pallet forks than another JD dealer and he said "they don't have the overhead we do."

I've found if you can find an independent (from Tri Green) JD dealer, they'll have the best prices or at least in North Alabama they do. They are few and far between though.

You can save some money and go buy a Woods box blade. Deere buys their Frontier implements from Woods, paints them green and marks them up for resale.

I had 2 dealers add all those fees onto the price when I was shopping for my JD tractor until they found out I was checking other dealer's prices. All the fees disappeared as fast as they could get me new quote sheets. :)

Similar experience here. I ordered a FEL and while checking prices it just so happened my local dealer had the cheapest price. I saw where someone on here had posted that 10% off the price on the web site was not unusual. I kept that in mind and it is exactly where I wound up. Several of the competing dealers would not budge on their price. One out of state dealer and my local dealer where several hundred dollars less.

I've got four dealers (2-JD, NH, & MF) that I deal with. All of them know that I get multiple prices on various brands before I buy an implement so I generally get decent prices....until it comes to parts. There they've usually got me locked in and I generally feel rather abused after the transaction.
