You are correct....wind power is NOT efficient.
And, I have an read an article report from an ornithologist that says wind mills are a threat to migrating flocks of birds. They find dead birds at the base of these towers that are soo huge, only sky scrapers compare.
Another thought on wind mills...Back in the day nearly every farm had a wind mill. Why have they gone to the wayside.?? Because there is more efficient power sources.
Here in Maine you would not believe the wind projects that are proposed. Miles and miles of leveled mountain tops leveld to install the windmills.:confused2:

Good news: most of the proposals haven't passed. too rural and not enough economies of scale to make it work up this way.
As for people migrating north to Maine, I've lived here my whole life and the neighbors tend to be creeping in with mass plates... First step, they post the land, second step, they tresspass on your land, third step, they try to change the laws to suit their needs when they are up on the weekends...
Most of them are clueless flatlanders, but some are my friends and should have been here all along. They have screwed up their state enough so now they are invading mine...
