I bought the PA30 because you never know when you might need the extra capacity. It runs a 12 inch auger like it's nothing in clay.

I concur with a full inspection before buying, I had picked up a PA30 locally that looked to be in good shape and after disassembling found the motor casing was cracked and the part to repair were not available individually.
