I was watching West Wing last night. The story was that the candidates for the next election were campaigning in Iowa at a corn grower's festival. They had Deere equipment all over the place. Wonder if JD paid for it...

Don't know about that, but while watching that show, I think I see where the plot line may be going. I bet Alan Alda and Jimmy Smitts end up on the same ticket. You read it here first! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

With one of JD's plant's being in Waterloo, Iowa I am sure they had something to do with it. But then again while driving in Iowa about all you see is JD Green so it could have been just by chance. But the movie makers would take any money handed to them.

i live in iowa near most of those towns they mentioned. it was suprising to me that they actually were using real town names. and yes there had better be JD tractors in the background or it wouldnt be very believable!!!!!!!!
