I'll bet they're pricey, but I can tell you if you have a big pond, they are invaluable to trim around the edges.

Over $3000 new. That's why I bought a 40 year old JD sickle mower. The new ones do have hydraulics and are many times easier to use. However, for using one a total of 6-10 hours per year does not justify $3000 for a homeowner.
