Hi Folks!

I have an opportunity to purchase a Kuhn tiller used, model: 32/150. I would be putting it on my Deere x585 tractor.

However, I believe the minimum HP required for the Kuhn might be the max PTO HP for the Deere.

Does anyone have any advice on whether this setup would work or not?

Thanks in advance! :D

Weight, and lift height would probably be the issues. Compare the specs with that tiller against the model 647 ( I believe that is what JD puts on that tractor) if they are close, you should be good to go.

Thanks for the response!

I checked out the 647 deere vs the Kuhn and the one I was looking at was way too big! Looks like I need to drop down to the EL23 series instead of the EL32. The EL23-150 should suffice!

That was my impression too, but I'm not really familiar with the Kuhn model numbers so I wasn't sure. You could also check the KK "XB" series, the Woods "estate" series, or the Landpride "05" series. They all have tillers designed for the new sub cuts that should work on your tractor. Simplicity also markets a tiller for your 3pt hitch too. I'm not sure who makes it for them.
