I just wanted to put on the record that the Star Products TU-15-18A, 17mm compression test adapter worked very well in my JD 855 CUT. It has a Yanmar 3TN75 motor.
Yanmar secures the injector with a plate that goes over the top and secures on two studs. The Star is designed for a single "pickle fork" from one side.
As you can see I made my own crude one sided plate with a second plate that goes on the other stud. There wasn't much thread left due to the thickness of the plate. But notice the TU-15-18A comes with a nylon washer at the bottom. This can be removed if the tip protector (shown on the Deere injector) is still in place (could be in the hole); The length then to the first notch is virtually identical.
The notched area is considerably wider on the Yanmar (12.5mm) v. 9.5mm for the Star.
This injector looks suspiciously like the one used in the new CubCadet tractors (EX2900 Ex3200, part # CY-729008-53100).
