After the tire shop replaced the inner tube in my 16.9-30 tire that I carried in to them on a trailer, they filled it with tap water and one gallon of red antifreeze. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get any help at home to unload the tire, so I drained the fluid by removing the outer half of the valve stem and placed a 1/4” tube inside and let the ballast siphone overnight. The next morning, the tire wouldn’t hold air because of a major leak at the valve stem. What would cause this in a brand new inner tube?
