That's pretty neat. Tractor tires on a car to deliver mail. Thanks for sharing.

.........yet bigfoot gets all the credit for being the original monster truck. Very cool.

I wonder how they arrived at the 58,000$ price tag? Perhaps the patina bumps the price.......:confused3:
Seems like it might actually be worth a tad less.....

The body looks like the 29 I had, other than the tractor tires on theirs and the V8 in mine.

That's an awesome car. I would love to have it. Though I wouldn't be able to afford it. :)

The first known "Donk!" (Look it up).

WWII saw a shortage of tractors so farmers adapted old trucks. They are often called Jitterbugs or Doodlebugs but have many other names. They were usually based on a 20's or 30's truck or car, usually with only the front cowling as that often contained the fuel tank. They usually used truck rear ends and had several approaches to gearing down, including two transmissions: whatever they could get their hands on.

There are now a number of clubs in New England and New York dedicated to them, and tractor shows are starting to add them. This one was for sale on CL a few months ago.

A choice of Cabriolet seems curious but the workmanship to make those fenders is impressive!

Maybe they want to buy a new F-Series truck.
