My dealer will finally be delivering my new TC-33DA today. It should be here around 1:00. We have 6 inches of new snow

well my dealer showed up 20 minutes early. After some shuttling of implements I finally go to do some work. This was my first attempt at plowing with a tractor and I think it turned out pretty well. Sorry no action shots but I was the only one around. I posted some pictures in my gallery.

The heck with the tractor, what a view!!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Wow, and yes the tractor is nice. The way it looks your up high on a hill. Them there R4's might be needing a set of chains. With th hills it may give some more comfort.

Thanks for the compliments on the property. We were very pleased to find it. Its actually not on the hill top. It is on a large flat that drops off into a river valley. Then from the main road it raises up to a ridge line that tops out around 4200'. We are at about 2900'. The house and the main road are at about the same elevation.

Our driveway is mostly flat with two small hills in it. It is gravel and about 1/3 mile long. We had about 6-8 inches on the driveway yesterday plus some deeper drifts. It had not been plowed yet this winter so there was some packed snow and ice under everything. The blade is a 7' bushhog with tilt. I was very happy with how well it worked. I just set it with the cutting edge forward and drove forward. With the blade angled at 15 degrees you had to keep the speed up to keep the snow rolling off the blade. At 30 degrees it cleared itself much easier even at low speeds. I was able to plow in range 2 except for one section where I really loaded up the blade in the 15 degree setting. Even then it was just a matter of lifting the blade some and cleaning up what fell out later.

At this point I'm very happy with the machine. It had 1.2 hrs on it when I came off the truck. Now its up to about 3.2 so I obviously haven't had much time on it. I'm sure those hours will climb quickly as winter rolls on.

Jinman, Funny that you mention plowing dirt.... I actually did a bit of that while I was trying to plow snow. Took the high spots right out even if I didn't intend to. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
