Fellow Posters,

I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of the 3720 I have ordered. It would be a trade for the 4310 I currently have. I have a question to pose to the group. I am a very loyal customer to the dealer in my hometown, despite the fact I no longer live there. It is about two hours away. Due to my very hectic work schedule it is difficult for me to take sufficient time away for the four plus hour round trip back and forth. With the swapping out of the loader, it would be an all day trip for me which I cannot do currently. This leaves me with the option of making two trips, one to drop off my tractor and one to pick up the other tractor. Is it reasonable to ask my dealer to make the drive and deliver the new machine (should I get it) here. This would mean he would have to swap the loader in the field, but that does not seem to be a major thing to me. If he is willing, how much would that extra service be worth? He has been good to work with and I want to be a good and appreciative customer.

I would say that if you dropped off your 4310 to them, then they could move the loader to the new tractor for a reasonable fee and deliver it for another small fee. These are the details related to dealing with a far away dealer. I'm sure they'll take care of you.

If I had to guess, $150 for loader exchange and $100 to deliver.

Which loader do you have, a 300 series?

Someone can clarify for me, but it sure looks like you should only need to swap or mount the appropraite "Frankenstein neck bolt" mounting posts to the new tractor. I don't think there should be any problem leaving your loader nhome, OR having them do the work very quickly on site.

I may be totally wrong here.

KD,
I have the 300cx loader. I think it would be an easy in the field swap, as all that seems to be needed would be to change the loader pedestals and loader. I am not sure that the pedastals for the two tractors are the same, but on the website, they carry the same part number.

Unhook your loader and leave it home, or leave it on and detach it there. Should only take a few minutes to swap out the posts (8 bolts) and torque them down. Dealer should be able to verify this.

For curiosity sake and to help another board member, when did you take delivery of your 300 series loader?
