My new tractor is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. Yippee!!
I just hope they can make it up our rough gravel roads out here in the sticks. Still working on the house for it. Had to abort the "big" barn until next year and work on a smaller shed for the winter.

Congrats Moo, I'm sure you and the hubby have all sorts of things planned for the first day's activities. Don't forget to have him shoot a picture or two of you and your new toy so you can post it on TBN for all to see.

Hey, no worries. If they can't make it up the road, just jump on that new workhorse and smooth everything out for them. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Looking forward to pics, when you get the chance to take some. (See, some of us can wait a few minutes for the pics to be taken. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif)

I certainly do have a lot planned for today!! I'm in the middle of trying to build the tractor house before we get rain from the hurricane early next week. I'm sure I'll find time to try it out though!! Pictures will be forthcoming later tonight.

By the way the new 'bota is a B7610 TLB, bush hog, tiller and box blade, none of which I know how to use so I'm sure I'll be asking questions or searching old posts.

Congrats on the new tractor. I am absolutely enjoying my new B7610. Hope it'll be everything you hoped it would be.

FASTEN THE SEAT BELT. . . seriously.

Depress the clutch, take the tractor out of gear (slide the HST selector to N).

Insert key.

Turn key about 3/4th of the way to light the glow plug, wait until the glow plug light goes out.

Turn key to engage the starter and let it fire up the engine.

Smile.

Ok, now that the basics are covered. Never let the tactor run out of fuel. On many diesel tractors running them out of fuel creates a huge PITA job. The tank can get low, but never let it run completely dry. Check the oil every day that you use the tractor, every time. It is easy, just get in the habit.

Diesel fuel care and handling!

Bob, the only thing I disagree with in your post is the "Smile".

It should read "Smile, Smile, a LOT!"

Best wishes,
ron

I would agree to disagree with Bob too...IF Moosetracks were a guy (hey, she is one of the guys now... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif )

Best advice for the male croud is to /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif as much as possible when the wife is looking... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Get more credit and praise for jobs accomplished that way.

Moosetracks might as well just be honest, cause her better half will know the truth anyway... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

So you and Bob are both right on with your advice...smile, and smile a lot, Moosetracks! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Henro, thanks for coming to my defense, I've been visiting a friend at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago all afternoon . . . But you are correct, the ONLY reason I recommended to Moosetracks to SMILE is because she is of the fairer gender. Obviously her husband KNOWS she is having fun on the tractor.

Now if she were a he, then I would have to go back to my typical "guy rules for tractor ownership" which obviously FORBID being caught smiling while on a tractor, at least being caught by the womanly persuasion.

By the way Henro, I've been meaning to ask, who makes a "black" tractor? Closest I know is White, and theirs are grey.
