I run a oversized Backhoe with my little L245DT. It is a good way to break a nice tractor. After a few close calls I found the correct Kubota hoe, and was able to purchase it at auction. You could almost hear my tractor sigh with relief. Weights should not be needed on the front. The Kubota is over built in many areas but the front axles would be a very expensive replacement.

A little late and maybe moot at this point but did you (the OP) get the Kubota insurance with your purchase? If so, it should be covered less the deductible I would think. But, since your dealer is covering it directly, I guess it doesn't matter.
