Dealer Dependable dealer

I live in east Texas, and I am very interested in buying a Yanmar tractor.Can some tell where there is a dealer that I could I depend on sells and service.After reading some of the forums,I am worried about buying recons. Thanks for any insight.

Yes, try Hoye tractor, they are in Texas and are a dependable dealer

I agree with TractorErnie, Surely the best in our area. Good parts support, good selection...good people to deal with.

Generally - Where abouts in E. Texas are you located?

Welcome. East Texas covers a lot of area. Where are you located ? I am North of Tyler, outside of Lindale. I use Hoye for parts ( sales tax and all ) and usually get things the next day, but they are over 250 miles from here. Long way to go for service. Triple DDD in Dodd City has a good reputation and they are much closer ( about 100 miles from here ), but I have no personal knowledge of them, I have only cruised their website.
I think you would do well to shy from the recon units. That was all I could find locally so I went to OK and bought from an importer, knowing I would be on my own for parts & service needs. I don't think you would need much beyond basic service anyway. If you follow a few simple rules of periodic maintainance a low hour A through B- Yanmar should give you many years of service.
I have been toying with the idea of stocking a few clean units and offering service in the future just so I could justify having more than one to play with.

I appreciate the replies. I live about 9 miles south of Athens. I called Hoyte yesterday and we discussed what size tractor I needed.I will only be mowing about 4 acres with a 5 foot finish mower. I think I will go ahead and buy a fel and a post hole digger.Any suggestions?

I would certainly agree with the others. I purchased a YM2420 from Stan almost a year ago and have been very well pleased with all aspects concerning the purchase. They were fair, friendly and very honest. They are also very good to give service after the purchase.

I LIVE EAST OF TERRELL, I BOUGHT MY TRACTOR FROM VINA TRACTOR IN MESQUITE. YM 1700 OUT THE DOOR FOR 2300.00 DOLLARS, TRACTOR ONLY. IVE HEARD GOOD THINGS ABOUT HOYE BUT VINA WAS CLOSER TO ME. PARTS FOR SURE AT HOYE. THERES ANOTHER PLACE IN CANTON, BUT I DONT NEED A FEL AND THATS THE ONLY WAY THEY SELL THEM. DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT THERE TRACTORS THOUGH.
