3-Point Hitch Detaching my rotary cutter?

Moving the 3PH up or down while working on it can help. As per TEXASJOHN, you can fab something out of PVC pipe etc. to adjust it from the ground.

I also use a hammer as another poster.

Thanks again for all the suggestions. This is a Kubota BX2230. The check chains are on the inside of the lower lift arms, and I had them well-loosened, the PTO disengaged and the top link removed. There's a turnbuckle on the right lower lift arm (facing forward). In the end I loosened the turnbuckle, and put the cutter on the ground. Then succeeded in getting the left arm off the cutter (again, left facing forward). No luck with the right. I kept trying putting the cutter at different heights and moving the tractor back a few inches and played with the turnbuckle and took the arm with the turnbuckle off at the tractor end and put it back on and so forth -- almost got the right lower link off but couldn't get it the last inch or so. And then, yes, someone where I work suggested a pry bar so I got a 4 ft long stick of strong wood and that did the trick! Then drove it off to play with the FEL -- I hardly want to think about hitching the cutter back on again!

It just can't be that difficult. I believe you but....

Maybe the ball on the end of the lift arm is frozen. They are also very tight when new. A healthy dose of lube and a metal bar stuck in it to do some rotation might help. The balls should rotate just using your fingers when broken in.
