Deutz d4006 FEL build?

As stated in the title, I have a Deutz D4006. I'd like to add an FEL. Westendorf quotes me $6000. I almost passed out. Finding a used loader that fits this tractor has been impossible so far. However looking at pictures on the web of other tractors my model with FEL's attached it seems the attach point, which is the middle of the tractor, would not be so hard to make custom mounting plates for a local machine shop. I guess my question is if anyone has any experience with this tractor, or one like it, what loaders I should keep an eye out for that would possible make a good match to be adapted to my tractor. For instance there is an MF 100 loader frame for sale locally at a pretty good price. Would something like this work or should I try to go totally custom with an FEL frame?

I owned a 4006 for many years, also had a 6206 with a loader...

My thoughts of putting a loader on a 4006 are, they don't have strong enough power steering and with a loader on and a bucket of dirt, it would steer VERRY hard, they don't have the best brakes and that's a safety issue, but most of all, they lack hydraulic flow so you end up with a VERY sloooow loader.

Personally, I'd just save until I could buy a more "loader friendly" tractor. (and I did)

I own a 3006 Deutz with a converted Kelly 500 loader on it. My rear tires are filled with fluid which makes it able to lift heavy loads. My tractor has Power steering which works Great even Loaded and My Brakes work Strong. The Loader its self is fast & very precise . I have lifted several 2700 lb cars with it over the past 11 years with no problems.
