Oil & Fuel Deutz Diesel RPM

Hey Charlie or Sedgewood,

I was showing the brochures of the PTs to a person at work today and they asked "what is the max RPM of the diesel engine"?. Do you guys know.

The Deutz site lists the max RPM as 3300 rpm and the rated power at 3000 RPM.

The manual says that power, speed, etc info is stamped on the name plate but I don't have ready access to the tractor - I can check tomorrow.

Thank you. Hows that diesel starting in the cold weather? How long do you hold the glow plugs on, prior to starting.

Best starting diesel I've experienced, though I must admit that's not many. One particularly cold day last fall, 8 degrees on my cheapie thermo, I reached over and hit the switch as I walked by the PT. It took 10-15 seconds of huffing & puffing but it started! And has ever since although I haven't had occassion to start it much below 20 degrees since then.
