Hi Everyone
I just purchased a new Deutz Fahr DX3.5 and having a problem with the hydraulics. They are very slow to go up and I have to rev the engine to get both front and rear hydaulics to go up quicker. Doesn't seem to be any power in the hydraulics as well. I think it either maybe the filters or it could be the pump. However the tractor has only done 4500 hours so unliekly it should be the pump. Does anyone know where the filters are so I can check these. I have found one underneath the seat and that seems ok but wondering whether there were anywhere else. Also any other causes apart from the pump that anyone could help with.

Also does anyone know where I can find a operators manual for the tractor as would like to know how to service tractor.

Any help would be appreciated.

Mark

First chance you get, put a gage in the circuit and check pressure. If the pump is good, use the gage to track down the power loss.

Try and tell us more about what you have checked, and post some pictures of the valve, pump, etc.

I would almost bet it's something on the suction side. Check your suction strainer and make sure all your suction hoses are healthy. Filters are usually on the return side and have a bypass so they are probably not the problem but it won't do any harm to change them. The pump could be bad at 4500 hrs, I have seen them go bad at 45 hours. Good luck.
