Dagnabit. It is coming from the pipe that comes out of the engine into the oil cooler. It is a drip, but it is making a mess. So, tech gurus, Whats the prognosis?

And I still have some hoses that are not good in the tunnel.

Frustrated but not mad.

Did you check the bolts that hold the oil cooler on? If it is even a little loose, you will lose oil at the seal.

If they are tight, you probably need a new oring. Check your parts manual. You will need your engine number to order the part from Deutz.

Sorry to hear about the hoses. Let us know how the 4 wires hold up to the oscilating back and forth as you steer.

All the best,

Peter

I've been thru that a couple of times now..I'm way past mad and frustrated!

Yes the saga continues as the PT keeps breaking down, and I keep fixing it....its a never ending endless loop.

Pull the cooler off, and replace the tubes..
PN 417-9404 $15.15 each, the rubber around the tubes goes bad (?).
Blue Ridge diesel in Roanoke (540-389-7296) keeps them in stock.

This PN is for the PT 1850.

Billy, out

Yo Billy! Darn nice to see you on this new year.

Hope you are good. Love to see how all your mods are going... How is bus and how is the machine running?

Hey WoodLand,
Business is going OK.

After I added a remote oil filter and cooler, then the oil leaks started at the cooler. I was blaming my mods, even though oil pressure isn't high by the gauge.

But after reading you rpost, I wonder if the chck valve at the oil filter is sticking.

I'm going to try to schedule some time this month to work on the PT and get it cleaned up and ready for next season.3

I bought as Toro Dingo, so I don't need the PT as much as before; but the Dingo is slower because its walk behind.
