I know little to nothing about prices of used equipment, but it sounds good to me. That's a nice tractor and 150 hours is nothing.

I know prices vary from area to area but I have found for the most part the upper midwest has some pretty good prices. The price you have looks to be pretty good. I think you could bring that one up here and make some money on it.

My tractor, Septemer 2002, brand new:

TC40D with R4s - $17100
17LA FEL - $3915

Total $21015, and doesn't include the front weights.

Your $15000 is a 28% markdown from my new price - with only 150 hours that sounds like a great deal.

Have you test driven the SuperSteer with the FEL in place?

Thanks for the replies.
This one doesnt have the super steer. I don't think I want to test drive one. I might really like it.
Now I've got to sell my other tractor and get a box blade that will fit this thing.

Thanks

Bob are you sure it doesn't have SuperSteer? Normally a 17LA is used for a SuperSteer model while a 16LA for a non SuperSteer model tractor.

SuperSteer is about a $1500. plus on the deal if it's so equipped.

You didn't get hurt either way in my opinion.

Now you've got me wondering!
How would I check if it has Super steer?

Bob that's an easy one, start the tractor and turn the steering wheel one way or the other as far as it will allow. If the axle articulates or pivots with the wheels then you have a SuperSteer tractor. If so the tractor will also have SensiTrak as well. (auto 4WD)

Mike,

Even if you didn't have Super Steer did the 17LA fit on the tractor? Is this something the dealer put on because he had inventory? Irreguardless I think he got a good price.

Murph certainly a dealer could have put a 17LA loader on a non-SuperSteer tractor to clear out some inventory. And it would work the same as a 16LA loader for that matter.

And you are also correct it would still be a good deal.

I just automatically associate the 17LA & the SuperSteer.
