I see that there are rebranded Branson tractors on Montana's website. Did they buy them out of something?

Correct.
The two companies signed an agreement which has Kukje building tractors for Montana, as well as selling the Branson models through their established dealers.
Same tractors, different decals. I think it says something for Kukje / Branson quality...

Good, I guess. One would think that this would mean an expanded dealer network, better parts availability, etc.
Same tractor, same spare parts, just a different name on it. They really are a well built, heavy tractor.

Can't tell by your response whether or not you're a fan of Kukje...
I for one think they're a heck of a value, and love my 3510i.
Kukje gets to wholesale a lot more tractors in the US, and we benefit from expanded parts availability...

Just joking around a bit about whats underneath the various color paints.
The tractor importers, brand namers, "emblem engineers" have "Got it" just like Chryco "Got it" when they imported Mitsubishi cars and labeled them "Dodge" in the 70s and 80s.
Yes, it is GREAT that we will have more parts sources and if we can get a rosetta stone of which brand and model names & numbers equate to each other we will have it made.
PS Mine carries the Century label, which caused it to get the Humpo loader, THAT has turned out very well.

I stopped by a Montana dealer today....just to look at what they had and see if they had any of the "new" tractors in. I was told that they "bought" Branson. I told them that is not what I understood the deal to be....

go to the montana website it states there is and agreement between the two to build tractors for montana, i expect them to be coming in green soon as they have a name on them something like montana limited. it's a great deal for kukje because montana dosent build any tractor just loaders and such at the old farmtrac location. montana is great at distrubuting and kukje is better at building. would'nt surprise me to see montana purchase the tractor portion of kukje and try to become a major player. i dont believe they would buy all of kukje as they have lots of pans in the fire like making the small cummins diesels.
