When we left our property for the year we were told by one of the local farmers to add conditioner to the diesel ...run the tractor for 15-20 minutes... and top off with fresh fuel (cuz we had an almost full tank) and it would be fine thru the winter. I have a feeling we should have drained the tank and carbs...any thoughts? Should we just go back and do it?

Thanks!

With diesel you don't have the phase separation issues like gasoline. Using Power Service or similar product should keep the fuel stable.
Some guys on here have said they have used old untreated fuel with no problem.
As to draining the carbs. You don't have any on a diesel.
