Diesel Concentrate

For all us snakeoil/amsoil users, Amsoil is ready for USLD. Just got the flyer today and finished reading it. When I burn down what's in my storage tank I'll have to give this a try.

Sounds about like Power Service, readily available almost anywhere. (and cheaper)Power Service Products, diesel fuel additives, prevent gelling, clean injectors, disperse water, boost cetane, reduce emissions, improve fuel economy

the more I have read about ULSD the more I get worrried. When I do not run biodiesel, I have virtually always put in an additive. Injectors and pumps are way expensive.

Also I have been reading that in the process to remove the sulfer, that some of the Cetane is being removed resulting in lower MPG. Nothing official yet but just guys posting on the TDR.

The cetane is supposed to be higher but with lower BTU.

My truck seems to be getting better MPG. Before this summer, my summer route would get me 20.5 MPG maybe 20.6. My last fillup before my fall/winter/spring route started got me 21.3 MPG. My current route has gotten me 19.5 to maybe 20.0 MPG but that 20.0 would be unusual with a "normal" high of 19.7ish. My last couple of tanks have gotten me 20.3ish.

This is all hand calculated, filled up at the same pump at the same station, using the same oil and oil filters and fuel filters.

Something is happening and the only thing that has changed is the fuel.
