This is something I have never seen discussed.
I mess around with generators and such. It's a hassle to rig up jerry cans for temporary testing.
What can one use for fuel disconnects? Diesel needs a return line too. Most cheap ones I see on E-Bay, I believe don't close when disconnected. And they usually are available only with a hose barb, not NPT fittings. Would changing temperature cause an issue with a closing type fitting, like in hydraulics?
I have a hundred or so old M style air fittings that I replaced. I was going to donate them, but can they be used for fuel? Will they leak, or suck air? Some are Milton, others are just Generic Chinese Junk. Will the seals deteriorate?
It would be nice to have a Yellow Jerry can with quick connects. It would be nicer if someone made a boat style Diesel tank with two lines. Although, I probably would not want to fork out the dough.
Thanks.
