Diesel fumes and black flies.

I think I saw a PTO driven black fly repeller engine that hangs on the 3pt, but it required 45 HP at the PTO and you have to buy your own tennis racquets. The mosquito one only required 17HP at the PTO, but it only handled Arizona mosquitos. I don't think it would work on the bigger more voracious ones (so Alaska mosquitos are right out.).

You can also get a add-on kit which blows the exaust smoke right in your face to keep the flies and mosquitos away, but I think there are only available in the other shade of Orange. **

** OK, that was a joke. I don't mean to offend anyone, but I couldn't resist. Sorry. Well, I'm not really sorry, as I think it's a pretty good joke, but maybe it's not in good taste. Speaking of taste, I wonder how many black flies it would take to make a protien paste. Anyone seen any cicadas yet?

Don't get real hung up on Mosquitoe reppelers for that size tractor. Up here in the north the little noseeums will just flock up and carry the tractor away leaving the operator to the elements.

Ah, yes. Canadian mosquitoes (or is that the Canada Mosquito?) . I went to Canada once, but the mosquitoes threw me out. They kept my pants. The mosquitos are not as nice as the people are there.

I actually bought a Mosquito Magnet to wipe out the little suckers but the model I bought requires power to run the fan. If and when I get full time electric, I'll let you guys all know how it works. In the mean time I may have to invest in a small generator to power up my well pump when I need water. Makes me appreciate the pioneers who did every thing without electric or tractors, etc.

As for John, do you know anyone who may have influenced my tractor purchase? He lives in Florida.

Cliff, I laughed .. taste or not taste! You are the creative writer aren't you. (I've been hanging out reading a lot of posts.)

Hey Cliff! No offense taken, as a matter-of-fact, I've already hooked up a blower that blows the diesel smoke into my face, and it's working great at keeping the mosquitos at bay. Have to keep this short as my head is hurting so much I can hardly type. I don't understand it.

I know what you mean! I've been lucky enough to get in almost 160 hours since I bought the tractor at the end of January. It's been GREAT! John
