Diesel & gas mix ?

   / Diesel & gas mix ? #11
I would siphon out as much as practical and haul that off for my truck or tractor.
A little gas in diesel fuel doesn't matter.
I would then top up the RV with gas and watch as the smoke gets less and less with every fill up.

At one time Mercedes recommended up to 30% gasoline for winter if you couldn't get winter blend - this was in the German owner's manual in the '70s.
As I recall there was a table of temperature and suggested gasoline percentage.

I once dumped 5 gallons of gas into a diesel suburban because someone had dropped it in the lake.
This may sound silly, but the cap was on and they were still worried that water may have got in.
For "free" I accepted it, then remembered that I was almost empty, so we gathered up 4 or 5 boat gas 5 gallon jugs and went a' diesel fuel shopping.
