Diesel Gauge

The gas gauge in my 2002 Buick refuses to work when car is not used regularly. I have learned to use a magnet to bring the dial all the way around to reset. My Kubota diesel gauge registers below empty. Has anyone determined a method for resetting the diesel gauge on a Kubota?

On my previous Kubota's I just used a wooden stick through the filler cap. My new ones have no issue with fuel level.
