I have an old diesel tractor Massey Ferguson 135. Everything works fine except that diesel keeps going into the oil chamber. What can be done to correct the situation? I had a gas lawn tractor and the gas kept going into the oil chamber, the next day the gas tank was empty. I corrected the problem by replacing the carburator because it worked with gravity.

Gas engine benefits from an add-on/in-line shut-off, even with a 'good' carb.

Diesel may have a leaking seal in the injector pump. If so, I'd expect fuel to leak into the engine when running vs when parked.

Yep, most likely a seal in the fuel pump, or lift pump if it has one. This would leak fuel into the engine crankcase, especially if the fuel tank is above the engine, and even if the engine isn't running. Dutchy
