Diesel mix mistake?

I mixed Opti-Lube XPT formula,1/2 oz. per gallon.In 5 gallons diesel as stated as mix rate. Then added 1 oz. amsoil cetane booster,as stated for + 7.I did not notice Opti-Lube boosts cetane,did not say how much.Did I screw up?Sorry for stupid question,please reply.

I think you are fine with that. I don't think extra cetane will hurt anything. If anything, it will probably run and pull better. If in doubt, just add a little more pump diesel to the tank.

Cetane boosters can only go up so far. If one adds 7 points and the other also adds 7 points, you would expect to be up 14 points, right? But you will only be up 7-9 points in all likelihood.

No problems to be expected (other than a slight loss in $$ from the un-needed double dose).

I agree... your cetain numbers aren't going to skyrocket.. but be just about where they would be from either of the addatives.
