I have a large (28x44) barn - that is currently unfinished inside - but that I would like to get some heat into so I can get some use out of if during the winter months.

I've used propane heaters out there before - and they will heat up an area enough so that I'm at least not shivering so badly I can't work.

I just got an email coming into my inbox from one of the online tool vendors that is selling Munters indirect DIESEL fired heaters. This got me interested for two big reasons: one is that they're diesel fired and I already keep multiple 5 gallon jugs of diesel around for the tractor , and two - the indirect firing means I can vent the exhaust gas out a window and not gas myself out of the building. I can tolerate working inside with the propane heater for a while , but it does start to get obnoxious after a time , plus they produce a lot of moisture and cause rust on exposed metal and so forth.

Anybody have any experience with these? I can't find much info online about them or find any info on anybody's experiences with them.

I'd likely be looking at one of these models:
