Where did you find diesel for 1.99 gal.??? Down here highway is up to 2.50 gal. I've been trying to find bulk offroad for a while but the prices I've been quoted I could buy highway at QT for the same. Thanks Robbie

Our offroad is 1.99 and highway is 2.42 but I hear that fuel prices are going to be climbing up again......

Usually get mine, 100 gallons at a time at the local Farmers Union, the only place in town to get dyed diesel. The only problem is that it only about twenty cents less than the on road diesel. The good thing is I only use 3-400 gallons all season.

Robbie don't know were you are in Georgia .But if you call them, if they can not bring it to you they will know some one were you are I would think.

Dumbdog I saved almost 40 cents per gal. That is a lot to me.

Untaxed and dyed diesel should be at least 23 cents cheaper than undyed diesel of the same grade. That's the federal tax. Not all states allow the discounting of the state fuel tax on dyed diesel.

Having a drum of offroad delivered today, $1.98 a gallon, just have to point to where I want it.

What it should be on the dyed diesel and what it is are two different things. It should be about 40 cents per gallon, but I take whatever I can get. You do get a patronage dividend every year, but only thirty per cent of that is in cash. You do what you can to save every penny as the vegetable market where all the picking etc is hand done, it is tough to make any money at. After four years I have yet to show a profit. After the equipment is all depreciated out, it will produce a profit.

By the way I pass my brothers gas station which is located in a building which I partially own just to save the twenty cents per gallon.

Thanks for the number Gizmo, I will call and see what I get. After we did our totals for the year we averaged 1000.00 in diesel a month. That is both truck and tractor but money saved is money saved. My tractor burnes 4-5 gal. and hour when running. Around here we don't get the full savings at the pump either but we'll take what we can get!!!! Robbie
