Diff Lock on a new Mahindra 1526

I did try to adjust it last night, but I don't think I was going the correct direction. It got late so I'll try again next week.

While I was under there I believe I discovered the problem relating to another annoyance with this machine. Is there an adjustment for the parking break? The toothed bar does not extend far enough when I pull the lever to lock the brake. The result is it's just sitting on the edge of the tooth and sometimes falls off after I park it. It seems like the cable needs to be shortened a couple of MM's, but I don't see an adjustment. A smart person would just take it to the dealer and let them fix it under warranty, but it's a hassle to tow it out there and I would prefer to learn something by doing it myself.

Roger, off the top of my head, I do not recall an adjustment for the brake lock. It might be that you could adjust the brakes a little to allow the pedal to go further down towards the floor when pressed, giving the parking brake pawl a better chance of engagement without having to press super hard on the brake pedal.

On every tractor I've messed with adjusting the brake take up adjusts the pawl engagement also.

If there are any similarities in the parking brake mechanisms on the 1526, and my 2615, here is what I learned to do when engaging it. Rather than pressing down on the brake pedal, and moving lock lever to desired position, move the lever to desired position, then firmly press brake pedal until locked.
