Diff noise under load

IT's probably normal, but I wanted to check.

I noticed when driving my new BX1860 it sounds like there is some noise (not quite grinding... but just gear noise) from the rear. Under load (like with a FEL full of dirt) it's more pronounced. I am going to check the rear diff oil today as well as everything else.

Also, I Swear I heard the rear PTO spinning yesterday too... It's covered so I didn't verify by looking. I've got the PTO selector on mid only for the MMM, and its not engaged, and wasn't at this time.

Is it just new sounds to get used to since it's my first tractor?

First off, there is no rear diff. fluid, its all part of the hydraulic system. But that is a good idea to check it. My Bx also has a little bit of whine when you work it hard, most of this goes away when you put it in low range. I also notice more noise when it is in 4 wheel drive.

My 1860 trans has a low, weird sound when hot, at idle. Don't have a clue what it is. Yeah, sounds like the PTO rotating slowly, but it isn't, because it isn't engaged. If it isn't whining, it is doing this. At this point, the thing makes so many noises and sounds and whines at different moments and RPMs that I am pretty much obliged to just ignore it all or wear ear plugs.

Ya, woops on the diff oil.. lol.. That's nice. Went and checked all fluids and everything was honky dory. The cap on the overflow coolant tank was off though.. odd. I'll keep an eye on that. And check the overflow tube to make sure it's not pinched or plugged (if it has one.. I assume it does).

Picked up a couple top link 3 point pins today and am ready for my box blade and pine rake to show up! I gots work to do!
