Can anyone tell me the difference bewteen these tractors, they both appear to be 21 HP compact tractors? I am looking at used tractors and have seen these two advertised by private owners w/loaders for around $10,500. They look very sismilar and have similar specs., so I am not sure what specifically is the difference.

They are basicly the same tractor, but there are some differences. The B7610 starts, and shuts off with the key, and I'm not sure that the B7500 does. The lights are also improved on the B7610.The B7610 is 24hp, and 18 at the PTO while the B7500 is 21hp, and something like 16+ at the PTO. The loaders are also different if so equiped. Equiped with the LA352 loader, the lift capabilities are quite a bit stronger on the B7610 than the LA272/LA302 on the B7500. Actually, the LA302 is a little faster though. In essence, the B7610 is a modernized B7500 with a little more horsepower. Someone else can chime in here with more knowledge of the B 7500 than I.

the B7500 was actually the predecessor to the b7510 which both have 21 hp. The B7610 is the same tractor with a larger engine (24hp) and therefore more capacity (eg the FEL is larger). I went through the same exrcise and finally settled on a B7610 over a used 2001 B7500.

The B7500 also shuts off with key.
The B7610 is more hp and better FEL capabilities.

My 2003 B7500 does not shut off with the key. I need to pull the engine stop knob out. After the engine stops, I turn the key switch to the off position. The engine stop knob must be pushed back in, before the engine can be started.

Rusty is right and it all depends if you want or need the extra HP.If you can get one for about the same price I would say go for the 7610. Any idea what a 7610 goes for with a loader?

The best price I've gotten recently for a B7610 with LA352 loader is $14,100 new of course.

$14,300. Paid slightly more since my dealer had to get it from another out of state.

Interesting.... I owned a B7500 for three years, I purchased it in Febuary 2002 and it was a key turn on and off.
