I have a 2004 L2800. The weight of the backhoe caused the rear differential case to break. We went to the dealer and found out this isn't an isolated case. Dealer said that he's asked Kubota in the past and they have refused to help with the cost of fixing it.
Sounds like a design flaw to me. Seems like the backhoe should be attached to something sturdy like the frame, not the casing (especially given that the casing is only 3/8-inch thick).
I'm wondering if anyone else has had this happen, or has heard of it happening. I'd like to have a few cases before calling the Kubota people. Also, maybe John Deere would be interested in some pics =) Any suggestions?
